Help Christians Adopt
Saving the world, one adopted child at a time

...For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?, The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'  Matthew 25:35-40

About Us

We are the Owen family.  God has blessed us emmensely far beyond what we deserve.  We have three precious birth children~Tanner, Davis, and Macy Kate.  After our recent experience with fostering a newborn and delivering him to his new mommy and daddy, as we sit in wait to hear about the older children we've inquired about to adopt, God opened our heart to a ministry that would allow Christians everywhere to pay it forward and help save souls...

We are blessed to know 3 families at our church, Dalraida Church of Christ, who have fostered and/or adopted. Because of these families, 7 souls are now on their way to heaven...7 SOULS! No one can deny that because these families said NO to fear and YES to God that lives will forever be changed!

We began thinking...what if we could challenge a group of Christians to pay it forward and give money to help a Christian family adopt. With the rising cost of adoption, many couples will never experience the feeling of being a parent. What if a child is adopted by a non-Christian family? Isn't that child being potentially robbed of knowing Jesus?

We began on Sunday, October 11, 2009, and challenged our group at church to consider giving something up to contribute to a fund to help a Christian couple adopt. Perhaps a meal out, maybe a birthday gift, or even a Halloween door decoration. Couldn't we all go without something frivilous to unite a child with his/her adoptive family and open the door to Jesus?

Things began to move quickly and soon a facebook group "
Help Christians Adopt" was created. Although our original intent was for this to be a one time effort, friends and supporters encouraged us to keep it going.  We prayed for God's guidance and blessing and it soon became clear that God wanted this effort to continue.

Within a few weeks, we opened a bank account to hold all donations, added a paypal button to the blog, created a website and met with our first couple.  Through God's word, our mission became clear.
